Alice Richardson BSc (Hons)
Graduate with a Computing BSc degree 2:2 with honours from Teesside University. This website showcases some of the applications that I developed during my course.
My degree in Computing was broad and I am currently looking for employment in the Information Technology field. I must preface this by saying that all activities and skills acquired were either part of my education or during self directed learning, I am eager to find employment so I can gain industry experience. My course mostly focused on Objected Oriented Programming that allowed me to later learn C++ but I am keen to expand my horizons. I have some knowledge of the .NET languages: C# and Visual Basic, mostly in the former and have previously produced e-commerce websites using Content Management Systems including WordPress and Joomla! In my first year I developed and designed a website using HTML5 & CSS3 for a Doctor Who Society.
I have studied UML 2.0 and MSSQL that included building a mock client interview to gather requirements for designing a system and database for signing up and recording times for track runners, including managing member subscriptions. I have also built a front end employee skill system and have since explored back end development using MVC Core 3 that is written using C# and SQL for the model and controller side in addition to HTML and CSS for the view.
I have worked with groups on soft skills in an Agile environment developing projects for clients and writing a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and support with a ticket system for an module covering ITIL.
I have taken three Network and Security modules looking at setting up Local Area Networks (LAN), Wireless LAN and Wireless Sensor Networks and setting up bulk user accounts and installing software using shell in Windows Server. I have also used C++ and Python in my free time.
